Job Summary

NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking a skilled Health Policy Manager to join our Health Care Strategy team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of health policy research, strategy, and data analytics consulting projects for healthcare clients. Your expertise will help inform clients' business strategy, policy positioning, and external thought leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project teams in developing health policy research and consulting projects.
  • Execute project tasks and functions as assigned, including data management, operational procedures, and tracking project budget.
  • Communicate effectively with clients in written formats, presenting interim updates and final deliverables.
  • Support proposal drafting and budgeting with direction from senior staff.
  • Direct junior staff on projects as assigned, sharing best practices and subject matter expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a relevant field, such as health policy or government affairs, consulting, health research, or working for the healthcare industry.
  • Emerging mastery of 1-2 areas of subject matter or technical expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial market policy, financial modeling, and claims analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of the process for identifying customer needs and defining products and services to fulfill those needs.
  • Superior consulting skills, including problem-solving, data analysis, time management, personal organization, attention to detail, and presentation skills.
