What We Are Seeking
Optime Care is in search of a Team Pharmacist to oversee our pharmacy operations. We require a dedicated leader who is enthusiastic about managing Specialty-prescribed therapies. This essential position will involve supervising pharmacy team activities and ensuring safety protocols are followed, including the dispensing of medications and oversight of pharmacy staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Process patient prescriptions, ensuring the accuracy of medications and dosages while addressing any discrepancies with healthcare providers.
- Confirm the accuracy of prescription orders and ensure proper labeling.
- Evaluate on-hand inventory for quality, purity, and expiration dates.
- Assist patients with inquiries and provide guidance on medical concerns.
- Deliver drug counseling in line with OBRA standards.
- Engage in clinical monitoring alongside other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct inventory checks and rectify any inconsistencies.
- Manage the daily functions of the pharmacy team.
- Maintain cleanliness in the pharmacy and complete necessary logbooks.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on pharmacy practices and advancements in the field.
- Contribute to staff meetings and patient care discussions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; a Master's degree or PharmD is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in pharmacy practice.
- A valid state pharmacy license is mandatory.
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for solving complex issues.
- Commitment to transparency, ethics, and detail-oriented work; a proactive team player.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, patients, and healthcare providers.
- Independent thinker who can propose and support innovative ideas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
