Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Define Dentistry. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care and promoting oral health in a professional and caring manner.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, probing, and polishing teeth, to maintain our patients' oral health. You will also be responsible for administering local anesthetics, SDF, and medicine under the supervision of a dentist when needed, educating patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care, and taking routine dental x-rays and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, probing, and polishing teeth, to maintain our patients' oral health.
  • Administer local anesthetics, SDF, and medicine under the supervision of a dentist when needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
  • Take routine dental x-rays and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Assist dentists during procedures as needed.
  • Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Prepare each room for patient care prior to seating and then after following OSHA protocols.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • State licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Proficiency in using dental office software for patient charting and scheduling.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
