The Senior Orthopedic Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for patients, their families, and fellow staff members through acts of compassion and attentive listening.
This position acknowledges the significance of each team member's contributions to the overall success of our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute physician directives, administer medications, initiate IVs, conduct treatments, procedures, and specialized tests, while documenting care in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
- Order, interpret, and assess diagnostic evaluations to determine and monitor patient conditions.
- Evaluate and address patient requirements and responses to the care provided.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment in making decisions regarding patient care management.
- Deliver primary and urgent care for both work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Dispense over-the-counter and prescribed medications as directed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients.
- Guide and oversee support staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
