This role includes engaging in settlement discussions and mediations, as well as closely monitoring litigation processes such as depositions, inspections, hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of claims, ensuring prompt evaluation of coverage, liability determination, and damage settlement.
- Negotiate settlements for bodily injury and property damage claims, collaborating with claimants and their legal representatives.
- Manage a diverse caseload of litigated and non-litigated claims from initiation to resolution.
- Analyze coverage documents and contracts to interpret applicable coverage and effectively communicate findings to clients.
- Assess facts and devise strategies to resolve claims related to bodily injury and property damage.
- Review medical records to ascertain the value of bodily injury claims.
- Exercise independent judgment within established authority limits, escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all decisions, communications, reports, and discussions related to claims.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years in a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims payment processes, and relevant regulations, along with familiarity with medical and legal terminology.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess claims and make informed decisions.
- Capability to interpret complex documents effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
