Senior Payroll Specialist Job Description

At Brady, Martz and Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and on time, ensuring all entries are correct and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Payroll Record Maintenance: Maintain and update payroll records for clients, including employee information, hours worked, and deductions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Payroll Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to clients. Assist clients with payroll-related questions and provide guidance on payroll practices.
  • Payroll Tax Management: Prepare and submit payroll tax returns, W-2s, and other related documents for clients. Ensure timely payment of payroll taxes.
  • Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding payroll services. Provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Payroll Auditing: Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile payroll accounts as needed.
  • Payroll Software Management: Use payroll software to process payroll and manage client accounts. Assist clients with software questions and troubleshooting.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of payroll experience required.
  • Payroll Knowledge: Understanding of payroll laws and guidelines.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technology skills.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Teamwork: Team player.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think innovatively.
