Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging science lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote student learning and engagement, including inquiry-based learning and project-based learning.
  • Assess student learning and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices and stay current with best practices in science education.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in Science or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in an urban school setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
