As a Licensed Vocational Nurse on our team, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our interdisciplinary team as a Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist. You will work closely with our experienced healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients in need of continued recovery support.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age and clinical condition of the patient.
  • Perform patient care considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age; includes geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients.
  • Under the supervision of the R.N., assist with the assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. Identify and initiate appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Under the supervision of the R.N., perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
  • Carry out the plan of care as indicated by the patient's needs and response to treatment; evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness; update interdisciplinary care plan accordingly based on changes in patient's condition and individual needs.
  • Interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
  • Demonstrate ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilize appropriate pain management techniques. Educate the patient and family regarding pain management.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
  • IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred.
  • Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
