The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at WestRock. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects within the constraints of specific objectives and target dates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan engineering projects to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide technical direction to project team members and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy industrial or process industries, with a preference for Pulp & Paper experience.
  • Project management experience, with PMP Certification a plus.
  • Drafting and CAD (AutoCAD) training/experience.
  • Personal computer skills.
  • Experience in four or more of the following areas: Power distribution systems, Process instrumentation systems, Process Design, Distributed control systems, Programmable logic controllers, Coordinated drive systems, Variable speed AC and DC drives, Low and medium voltage motor control centers.
