Unit Information:
The unit is characterized by its staffing structure, patient care requirements, and the procedures performed. It is crucial for candidates to have telemetry experience and familiarity with post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention protocols. Preferred skills include:
- Chest tube management
- NG tube placement
- Wound vac operations
- Drain management
- Post-dialysis assessments
- Central line maintenance
- Blood transfusion procedures

Scheduling Information:
- Work Schedule: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Floating Policy: Potential to float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or PCU for telemetry overflow

Patient Care Ratios:
- Typical patient ratio is 6:1

Equipment Utilized:
- GE Apex Pro Telemetry box
- Hoyer lift
- Sara Steady
- Baxter IV pumps
- iMobile
- Alaris PCA IV pump
- Welch Allen Vitals machine
- Glucometer
- Meditech Expanse documentation system

Dress Code:
- Navy blue or gray scrubs are required.
- T-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts are not permitted.

Additional Information:
The unit fosters a collaborative environment with strong interdisciplinary communication. Travelers often extend their contracts due to the supportive team and excellent working conditions. The unit is well-supported by a director, manager, and clinical educator, ensuring continuous improvement and availability of new equipment and supplies. Feedback from all staff, including contract personnel, is actively encouraged.
