Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Manager to join our team at Trident Trust. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for managing the accounting activities of multiple clients, overseeing the work of senior and staff accountants, and ensuring that client needs are met and tasks are being delegated appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting responsibilities related to the implementation of new funds, including reviewing and preparing financial statements and footnotes.
  • Oversee the work of senior and staff accountants, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure that client needs are met and tasks are being delegated appropriately.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships and service providers that work with clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate current processes and technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and review statistical analyses of stock basis, profit and loss, and inter-company accounts for a variety of transactions.
  • Onboard and assist new clients with structuring, local regulatory applications, and fund documentation.
  • Coordinate audits of all funds, including preparation of audited financial statements and footnotes.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline.
  • Firm understanding of GAAP, specifically as it relates to fund accounting.
  • 5+ years of related accounting or comparable experience.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience managing a team, training, delegating work to ensure deadlines are being met, and providing guidance and support where needed.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience completing and reviewing complex calculations such as fund NAV calculations, waterfalls/investor allocations, and other various calculations.
  • Experience managing clients and third-party service providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Experience with Advent Geneva, QuickBooks, or Allvue a +, and willingness to learn new software as needed.
  • Ability to function in high-pressure situations with competing priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-management, and ability to effectively prioritize workload and tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to attend industry events.
