Fiber Optic Splicing Trainee

McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a committed individual to become part of our workforce as a Fiber Optic Splicing Trainee.
In this role, you will collaborate with seasoned experts and enhance your skills in fiber optic splicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting fiber optic color codes for cable setup
- Utilizing fiber fusion splicing apparatus and various testing tools
- Installing splice closures for both aerial and underground fiber cables
- Performing tests and documenting outcomes
- Following safety protocols and guidelines
- Executing additional duties as assigned by the Foreman or Construction Manager
Qualifications:
- Experience with PON, FTTH, and Ribbon Fiber splicing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
