As a Security Officer I, your primary responsibility will be to conduct unarmed foot patrols within a governmental setting while delivering exceptional service to customers, visitors, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
In addition to ensuring physical security, you will embody Deployed Services, LLC's G.E.T. principles: Greet, Engage, and Thank individuals for their patronage. Your duties will include:
- Welcoming guests warmly and inviting them into the premises.
- Facilitating various guest services, including transportation and inquiries about local attractions.
- Addressing customer issues, concerns, or complaints and relaying relevant information to management.
- Conducting security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
- Performing stationary post assignments, including opening and closing doors for clients.
- Proactively scanning the assigned area to ensure compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
- Engaging proactively in all aspects related to post orders.
- Identifying potential threats stemming from criminal activity or safety concerns.
- Building rapport with customers by understanding their needs and addressing them.
- Staying informed about the latest site-related information, including crime trends and local businesses.
- Monitoring for irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security risks or safety hazards.
- Alerting authorities in case of emergencies or unauthorized individuals.
- Identifying and warning violators of rules, such as loitering or carrying prohibited items.
- Permitting authorized individuals to enter the property and monitoring access points.
- Preventing theft of company property.
- Investigating and documenting accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintaining required logs.
- Liaising with local law enforcement.
- Ensuring that the job site remains clean and professional.
- Providing basic first aid and making emergency notifications as necessary.
- Performing other assigned duties.
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate effectively with the public.
- Warm, engaging, and charismatic demeanor with a natural ability to build rapport.
- Exemplary judgment and a high level of integrity.
- Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Resourceful problem-solving skills, even in challenging situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, as operations run 24/7/365, in all weather conditions.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; navigate confined or elevated spaces and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
- Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing in English.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and residency in the continental U.S. for the last three consecutive years.
- Willingness to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
- Successful completion of a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after a conditional offer of employment.
