Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidates will be responsible for delivering instruction in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the Health, Business & Professional Services division. Key duties include:

  • Preparing and teaching the ACLS course.
  • Engaging with students in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Utilizing technology effectively to enhance the learning experience.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in fulfilling instructional responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a successful completion of a criminal history background check prior to employment. Additionally, applicants should have:

  • Experience in teaching a variety of courses, particularly in English composition.
  • A commitment to cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit a complete application package, which includes the Tacoma Community College application form. Please note that part-time faculty positions are reviewed on a quarterly basis, and applications will remain active for 12 months from the submission date.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for part-time faculty is based on credit hours taught, starting at a competitive rate. Eligible part-time faculty may qualify for healthcare and retirement benefits after meeting specific criteria. TCC also offers personal leave days and sick leave based on employment status.
