Job Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of innovative products and their associated manufacturing processes. This role involves the seamless transition of products from the design phase to large-scale manufacturing, ensuring adherence to project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating tasks, and addressing challenges in collaboration with management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, analysis, and documentation of electromechanical systems that fulfill functional, quality, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety standards as part of Dynabrade's new product initiatives.
  • Ensure project success by meeting established schedules, budgets, performance metrics, and quality benchmarks.
  • Detail-oriented professional capable of creating comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, engineering files, supplier communications, work instructions, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Identify, debug, and troubleshoot electrical issues during production, providing effective solutions.
  • Enhance existing designs with cost-effective improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of reports and proposals.
  • Design testing methods and procedures to assess system reliability, performance, and safety.
  • Refine manufacturing and assembly methods and materials for electrical products.
  • Utilize testing equipment (such as oscilloscopes and multimeters) to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  • Support the evaluation of electrical systems, products, components, and applications in production.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electro-mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
  • Apply principles of mechanics, machine design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and materials to evaluate electro-mechanical systems and products through design, testing, and research.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others, demonstrating a willingness to assist team members when needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Skilled in CAD software (Solidworks) for designing electromechanical systems and components.
  • A strong desire to expand knowledge by learning new technologies or processes.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and see them through to successful manufacturing completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
