Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit technical expertise in operating x-ray machinery, adhering to established protocols to deliver high-quality imaging results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of procedures to alleviate concerns and anxiety.
  • Identify and address any clinical or urgent issues that may arise during imaging processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to evaluate critical findings and discuss anatomical details as necessary.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment, promptly reporting any hazardous conditions.
  • Accurately input and verify data within the PACS/RADIANT system.
  • Uphold a safe environment for all individuals and comply with quality control measures.
  • Ensure seamless patient care, efficient workflow, and effective communication throughout the imaging process.
  • Support team members proactively, contributing to a collaborative work atmosphere.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • ARRT and CPR certification.
  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in the State of Louisiana.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in radiology.

Work Schedule: Variable Hours
