We are seeking a skilled Packer to join our team at Stampede Culinary Partners. As a Packer, you will be responsible for packaging meat products in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Meat Portioning and Packaging: Portion diced meat by weighing the meat and packaging the meat into a bag/tray and/or placing the meat into a vacuum machine.
- Quality Control: Verify the weight on individual steaks by weighing them on a scale.
- Product Preparation: Take finished product packaged in a bag and seal the bag with a hand sealer machine.
- Teamwork and Safety: Demonstrate the ability to work as a team and follow direction. Adhere to all quality and safety guidelines.
- Physical Demands: Regularly stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; repetitively reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move meat weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Work Environment: Regularly exposed to cold temperatures (45 degrees) in the plant. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Additional Requirements- Adaptability: Must be able to work in a cold environment. Must be able to handle frozen meat with hands throughout the day. Must be able to wear safety shoes.
