Job Overview

Position Title: Chemical Processing Technician

The Chemical Processing Technician will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately filled and dispatched in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the facility, washing hoses, cleaning large containers, and disposing of waste materials. This position primarily involves working with liquid chemicals utilized in water treatment processes, with occasional tasks involving the mixing of solid and liquid chemicals. Experience in dock operations is essential, as loading and staging products onto the dock using a sit-down forklift is a requirement.

Employment Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a duration of 20 weeks.

Work Environment

This position is fully on-site.

Shift: 2nd shift (12pm-8pm, occasionally until completion of truck loading). While there is no mandatory overtime or weekend work, employees may often work additional hours to manage workload effectively.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Employees are required to wear bump caps, safety glasses, gloves, and respirators in certain areas, along with a 'chemical suit' that may increase heat exposure by 10-15 degrees. The facility is temperature-controlled, but summer conditions can still be warm.

Main Chemicals Handled: Phosphates, Sodium Hypochlorite, Caustic Soda, and various Coagulants.
