About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to lead the development of our backend infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and resilient systems to enable connectivity and communication between our satellites and billions of IoT devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our backend infrastructure, including data ingestion from federated multiple terrestrial IoT networks.
  • Design and implement scalable and resilient systems to support the growth of our IoT network.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices and standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure the highest level of quality and maintainability.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our systems.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical lead or principle engineer.
  • Deep expertise in backend infrastructure and API development, with a strong understanding of system design and architecture.
  • Recent experience with Go and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with AWS and AWS Toolkit, including Amazon Kinesis and Postgres, NoSql, and SQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including Terraform, GitHub Actions, Circle CI, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Ability to design for scale and resilience, while keeping it simple.
  • Experience working with devices and their connection and scalability.
  • Strong architecture and design skills, with a focus on production-level solutions.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with security and SOC2 compliance.
