Job Title: Director of Operations

Elwyn is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the designated department programs and provide support to all assigned Community Residential Services (CRS) managers.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Director, the Director of Operations will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and oversight of program operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure thorough review and delegation of assigned programs to meet the needs of individuals supported, including annual plans, assessments, outcome implementation, and required documentation.
  • Identify changes in individuals' needs and implement changes in programming.
  • Provide supervision of assigned staff, including recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, corrective action, and termination.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources for the hiring and discipline of all personnel.
  • Perform on-call duties off hours, providing guidance and support to managers and staff.
  • Continuously improve operations and share information and lessons learned with peers and administration.
  • Plan, staff, review, and organize staff assignments for assigned department projects.
  • Provide operational assistance across various programs as needed.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training, and staff development to all levels of department staff.
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of program operations and management experience.
  • Leadership experience in process improvement or operational improvements preferred.
  • Previous experience working within and managing a unionized workforce preferred.
  • Must be able to perform CPR, first aid, and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license in the state of residence, three (3) years of driving experience in the United States, and an acceptable driving record.
