Job Description: Perioperative Care Specialist

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year.

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Perioperative Care Specialist to join our team at Community Medical Center. In this role, you will work closely with our perioperative care team to provide expert care and education to patients in the outpatient surgery setting.

You will utilize your specialized knowledge and skills to shape exceptional patient journeys every day, leveraging our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of patients from admission to discharge or transfer.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
Essential Qualifications
  • Current state RN License.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS and PALS required upon hire.
  • Moderate sedation course completion within 3 months of hire.
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required.
Desirable Qualifications
  • BSN Preferred.
  • CAPA or CPAN Certification preferred.
  • Pre-Op, PACU, or Acute Care experience preferred.
  • Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred.
