Job Description

MITRE is seeking a Department Manager to lead the Cyber Infrastructure Modeling, Sim and Intelligence department. This leader will shape the department's strategic direction, drive innovation, and grow a team of world-class talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advance the department's capabilities through innovation, external partnering, and work program application.
  • Attract, develop, and support a diverse workforce with expertise in critical infrastructure analysis, security, and safety.
  • Foster an environment of innovation, technical leadership, collaboration, and camaraderie.
  • Collaborate across the innovation center's capability areas to envision and create cross-cutting solutions.
  • Support and oversee Capability Area Leads to advance the state of the art in critical infrastructure analysis, security, and safety.
  • Partner with MITRE programs, portfolios, and innovation centers to focus on and increase mission impact.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Top Secret/SCI required.
  • Proven track record of servant leadership with demonstrated experience leading programs and mentoring people.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in at least one of the department's capability areas.
  • Experience supporting DoD, DHS, and/or Intelligence Community sponsors and passion for supporting these missions to ensure a safer world.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at a US Intelligence Community sponsor.
  • Experience working with critical infrastructure asset owners/operators.
  • An active SCI with current polygraph is preferred.
