Position Summary

We are currently seeking an Armed Security Officer to oversee security operations within the transit sector.

No prior transit experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.

Competitive compensation package available.

Compensation: $25.08 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time - Various Shifts Available

Armed security experience is a prerequisite.

Essential Qualifications

Must possess the following:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Florida Security Licenses: D and G

Additionally, at least one of the following is required:

  • 3+ years of military service (DD214)
  • 3+ years of law enforcement experience (Academy Certificate)
  • 3+ years of armed corrections experience (Academy Certificate)
  • 3+ years of armed security experience (Employment Verification)
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by implementing safety and security protocols, adhering to site-specific policies, and managing emergency response situations as necessary.
  • Address incidents and critical situations with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises, with working conditions varying by client site.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old for armed positions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • All applicants will undergo a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screening as permitted by law.
  • Participation in industry-specific security and safety training programs is required.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and/or local regulations and may need to be fulfilled prior to employment.
