Fire Sprinkler Designer

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our Fire Protection team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative fire suppression systems for our cutting-edge manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Fire Protection Team to design, develop, and implement fire suppression systems for our facilities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilize 3D design software, such as Revit, HydraCAD, and Navisworks, to create detailed construction drawings and models for fire suppression systems.
  • Lead on-site design validation and prepare as-built drawings for fire suppression systems.
  • Maintain project files, records, and documentation for fire suppression systems.
  • Develop and manage Revit families, standard details, and BIM files for fire suppression systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
  • NICET certification for water-based fire protection systems layout.
  • Proficiency in 3D software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with HydraCAD, HydraCalc, or other sprinkler design programs.
