Position OverviewRole Summary

In collaboration with the Practice Manager and Director, the Lead Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor oversees all nursing and clinical operations. This role encompasses direct patient care, clinic management, coordination of patient flow, and supervision of nursing personnel. Engaging with faculty, residents, patients, and staff is essential to enhance patient care and uphold safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will:

  • Coordinate and delegate tasks among nursing and support staff in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Administer administrative duties including supervision of nursing staff, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and daily staffing adjustments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, maintain annual staff competencies, and provide necessary training for both new and existing personnel.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance process and verify staff timesheets for accuracy based on the daily operational schedule.
  • Uphold professional standards in all aspects of practice.
Compensation

Salary Range: $31.66-$74.19/Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current and valid California Vocational Nurse License with IV Certification.
  • BLS/CPR certification from a recognized provider.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Proficient in blood withdrawal and IV administration.
  • Ability to accurately assess and triage patients with acute conditions.
  • Competence in recognizing abnormal lab results and communicating findings to physicians.
  • Familiarity with medical diagnostic equipment and clinical procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to gather essential clinical information from patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to follow administrative directives and respond promptly.
  • Skill in fostering collaborative relationships with patients, colleagues, physicians, and administrators.
  • Capacity to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information judiciously.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of physician practice operations.
  • Familiarity with Care Connect systems.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
