Your role will involve providing leadership, direction, and expertise to all team members while effectively communicating departmental updates to the staff. The Healthcare Operations Supervisor is tasked with building a high-performing team that is efficient, knowledgeable, service-oriented, and collectively responsible for achieving the practice's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of daily responsibilities, ensuring appropriate distribution of workload among staff.
- Review and authorize employee time records and requests for time off.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to staff for continuous professional development.
- Conduct interviews, hire new personnel, and recommend salary adjustments while assisting in the formulation of employee goals aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
- Manage the financial performance and budget planning for the assigned medical facility, analyzing monthly management reports.
- Monitor scheduling for clinic and surgical procedures within the designated location.
- Promote the development of strong relationships between staff and healthcare providers.
- Lead community outreach initiatives, fostering and maintaining relationships with referring physicians and other efforts to drive growth.
- Assist in resolving operational challenges and maintain open communication with all staff to ensure high productivity levels.
- Collaborate with fellow managers to identify and address staffing imbalances.
- Complete all end-of-day tasks and reporting requirements.
- Encourage a collaborative team environment while adhering to company policies and guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in a reasonable manner.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual skills are highly advantageous.
- Bachelor of Science degree is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in managing a medical practice is required.
- Over five years of experience in medical practice management is preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in computer applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of optometric care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Personable and empathetic towards patient needs and concerns.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proven problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and supervise a team effectively.
