Washington College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Center Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Center for Environment & Society, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and activities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate various intra-office activities, including staff meetings and events
- Assist with admissions activities and other events at the Center
- Act as a liaison to other College departments and manage CES facilities, vessels, and research equipment
- Provide general support for Center staff, including scheduling and organizing CES Advisory Board Meetings
- Coordinate CES staff team building activities and maintain operations and use of research equipment, vessels, and CES vehicles
- B.A./B.S. preferred; minimum of 5 years administrative/logistical experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to work well with diverse people and communities
- Computer literacy: knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word); knowledge of administrative software
Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Occasional extension of work hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for special events, may be necessary to meet project demands and the needs of the Center and College community.
