Ultrasound Tech Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Tech to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals / Elmhurst. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound scans and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound scans with a high level of theoretical, practical, and technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients and clinicians.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff in a friendly, clear, and helpful manner.
  • Accurately assess, implement, and document examination findings on the applicable worksheet.
  • Ensure the safe use of expensive ultrasound equipment and supervise junior staff/students.
  • Identify medical consumable stock that requires ordering and perform basic quality assurance/checks on equipment.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Diagnostic Imaging or Dip in Medical Ultrasound.
  • One year experience in Ultrasound/Sonographer in a facility required.
  • AHA BLS required.
