Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Coordinator RN PICU to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and providing exceptional patient care to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the PICU team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among staff members.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of unit-specific policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including coordination of care transitions and discharge planning.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a pediatric or critical care setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software applications.
