Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to food service.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen sanitation and safety, ensuring all work and storage areas are clean and organized.
- Assist in preparing and plating meals from scratch.
- Strive to achieve a high level of resident satisfaction within the community.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in food preparation, including cooking and plating.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently and competently.
- Capability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted.
- Willingness to work full shifts, arrive on time, and work overtime as necessary.
- Flexibility to work according to the schedule required for the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dining services as a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef, or Dietary Aide.
- Experience in senior living, restaurant, or banquet settings is advantageous.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (can be obtained upon employment).
- Ability to remain adaptable and flexible.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and maintain good employee morale.
