Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to food service.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen sanitation and safety, ensuring all work and storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Assist in preparing and plating meals from scratch.
  • Strive to achieve a high level of resident satisfaction within the community.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in food preparation, including cooking and plating.
  • Ability to perform tasks efficiently and competently.
  • Capability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted.
  • Willingness to work full shifts, arrive on time, and work overtime as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work according to the schedule required for the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in dining services as a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef, or Dietary Aide.
  • Experience in senior living, restaurant, or banquet settings is advantageous.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (can be obtained upon employment).
  • Ability to remain adaptable and flexible.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and maintain good employee morale.
