Job Summary

Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Point Comfort, Texas. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and design piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) to optimize process flow
  • Implement alarm control systems to support operator response and improve process stability
  • Troubleshoot installation, startup, process hazard, and process stability issues
  • Design and implement advanced process control to automate manufacturing processes
  • Apply Statistical Quality Control to improve product consistency
  • Perform process modeling and simulation to determine the effects of different process variables
  • Identify process bottlenecks and develop debottleneck processes
  • Perform environmental calculations and toxic release inventory (TRI) to assess and mitigate potential environmental risks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 8 months of related work experience
