This position is classified as exempt.
Role Summary:
This role is pivotal in delivering engineering expertise to a production unit, encompassing all operational aspects through active involvement in project initiation and execution.
Your responsibilities will include applying engineering methodologies to both new and existing facilities, with activities ranging from process engineering to the assessment and integration of innovative technologies.
The facility is engaged in transforming corn into high-value products and comprises a workforce of approximately 650 ADM and contractor personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee specific processes that may involve project management, including procurement of materials, equipment installation, budget oversight, employee training, and project initiation.
- Support daily operations, including providing shift coverage as necessary.
- Lead plant operations to ensure personnel and process safety.
- Recommend enhancements to company facilities, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate directly with shift supervisors to achieve desired operational outcomes and foster employee development.
- Design, develop, and manage projects tailored to departmental operations.
- Track processes and costs effectively.
- Provide training and mentorship to colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to safety standards.
- Focus on quality assurance.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving proficiency.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude for managing personnel and collaborating with corporate departments.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and devise solutions.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural preferred).
1 to 3 years of experience in plant operations.
A background in project management is advantageous.
