Position Overview: The Building Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of facilities. This role involves various cleaning tasks, including sweeping floors, vacuuming carpets, washing walls and windows, and disposing of waste.

The technician will ensure all restrooms are sanitized, perform general cleaning of public areas, and conduct detailed cleaning on a scheduled basis. Responsibilities will also include moving between different locations and performing light exterior cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, clean, or supply restrooms
  • Maintain building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Adhere to procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids as needed
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors using appropriate tools
  • Request necessary supplies or equipment for cleaning and maintenance
  • Dust and polish furniture, walls, machines, or equipment
  • Manually move furniture or supplies for cleaning purposes

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in custodial services
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Professional appearance
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
