Catering Captain Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Catering Captain to join our team at Morrison Healthcare. As a Catering Captain, you will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules, preparing and serving food at scheduled functions, and ensuring all functions are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders
  • Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements and address last-minute changes
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and instruct staff on work expectations
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications and assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations
  • Serve food and beverages to guests and ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law
