Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at IASIS Healthcare. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, recording data, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain equipment such as boilers, air compressors, generators, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Record data, including temperatures, hours of operation, fuel consumption, water levels, chemicals, and water titration.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, using hand and power tools, and conducting periodic safety inspections.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Follow all applicable regulatory agency policies, guidelines, and codes, as well as hospital policies and guidelines.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Repair HVAC systems, including filter changes, grease or replace motor or fan wheel bearings as needed.
  • Change drive belts and make proper adjustments as needed.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including rebuilding or replacing valve stem assemblies on lavatory faucets, clearing drain blockages using a sewer snake or drain cleaning machine.
  • Repair flush valve assemblies on toilets and urinals.
  • Perform electrical repairs, including troubleshooting circuits with the use of voltometers, replacing switches and receptacles with the use of lockout tagout measures.
  • May operate a computer, telephone, television, and maintenance tools and equipment.
  • All other duties required or assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate/GED.
  • Two (2) years vocational school and/or similar trade.
  • NIMS training within (6) months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Stationary Engineer experience.
