Job Description
The CRNA provides anesthetic care for all patients in cooperation with the supervising physician, following Department of Anesthesiology standards and hospital policies. Responsibilities include administering anesthesia, monitoring patients' reactions to sedatives and anesthetic agents, and informing the anesthesiologist of any adverse conditions that may threaten patient safety. Additional responsibilities include assuming responsibility and accountability for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines, assisting with the teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs, and participating in the Quality Improvement (QI) process through documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program, knowledge regarding controlled substance policies in accordance with Federal and State laws, and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additionally, you must be Board Certified, Recertified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists and hold CPR certification based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
