Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our Retail Store Leadership Development Program as a Store Manager Trainee. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting the Retail and Industrial Store Manager in the overall operations of the Red Wing Shoe Store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell profitably and control expenses
  • Manage accounts receivable process
  • Develop new business and manage inventory and merchandising
  • Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of store staff
  • Assume temporary assignments in market area stores

Requirements:

  • High School Education and 0-2 years related retail experience/training
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Outlook, with proficiency in Excel
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Personal credit card for reimbursable expenses

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, lacing shoes, and climbing a ladder
  • Responsible for ensuring housekeeping duties
  • Travel to assigned stores within market area and to attend training and business meetings
