Role Overview: The Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing patients with respiratory conditions, conducting diagnostic evaluations, collaborating with medical professionals to create treatment strategies, administering therapies, and providing patient education regarding medication usage.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate Degree in Science is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three years in comprehensive cardiopulmonary services is advantageous.

Licensure:

Active State Respiratory Therapist License is required.

Certifications:

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or to be obtained within 90 days of employment. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate independently. The role requires functioning effectively in high-pressure situations and responding appropriately. Language Proficiency: Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.
