We are seeking a skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support services to children and adolescents with behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Provide behavior management support to individuals in a school setting.
- Carry out specific interventions developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Transfer skills to individuals' natural support in the least restrictive environment.
- Assist the Educational Administrator by deploying direct care staff strategically throughout the facility.
- Support teachers in managing student behaviors.
- Serve as an exemplar to direct care staff and ensure efficient communication between the school, residential program, and/or school district representatives.
- Support for your professional development through supervision, training, and guidance from experts in the field.
- A stable, national, non-profit organization that offers a strong support system and is forward-thinking in their clinical practice and research.
- An environment that is supportive, educational, and clinically focused.
- The opportunity to increase your knowledge and improve your skills related to behavior intervention, functional assessment, and collaboration with a team that is inclusive and individualized.
- Registered Behavior Technician certification or RBT eligible; required.
- Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred.
- At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with behavior challenges preferred.
