Job Description:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly of KIOTI products, primarily consisting of tractor units, attachments, implements, parts, and accessories for dealer shipments or to meet other company requirements.
This position will also require mechanical and technical expertise to assist in the teardown and rebuild of tractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Setup: Assemble tractors, attaching all necessary equipment per customer request (tires, steering wheel, mowers, etc.).
- Tear Down and Repair: Collaborate with the Product Support department to determine mechanical tasks that need to be completed.
- Inventory Management: Complete online parts orders needed to finish tractor builds.
- Problem-Solving: Determine problems and figure out solutions, as parts may not always fit correctly and may require modification without supervision.
- Forklift Operation: Be forklift certified to move materials around in the assembly area.
- Warehouse Support: Assist and provide backup for all warehouse duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the assembly area.
- Tool Inventory: Be responsible for the inventory of tools and report any loss, damage, or malfunctioning equipment to the direct supervisor.
- Safety: Uphold and be aware of safety on the job and in the work area.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: May have certified training in related areas of mechanics and assembly, with a minimum of 4 years of mechanical-related experience.
- Certifications: Trained on overhead hoist equipment, forklift certified, and able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Work Environment: Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility, exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
Additional Requirements:
- Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without any restrictions.
- Location: Okay to work 100% on-site in Tacoma, WA.
