Job Title: Lab Intern

Join our team at Chemtrade as a Lab Intern and contribute to the success of our Richmond, CA manufacturing facility.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide laboratory and operational support to our manufacturing facilities. As a Lab Intern, you will be responsible for performing sample analyses using internal and external analytical methodologies, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing samples for shipment to customers and Chemtrade field personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation of analysis results
  • Prepare samples using techniques such as weighing, filtering, drying, grinding, digesting, and extracting
  • Perform wet chemistry analyses and generate certificates of analysis, where applicable
  • Assist management in ensuring all deliveries meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance to analytical equipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational quality issues
  • Assist with inventory management and procurement of laboratory supplies
  • Assist and serve as a backup for the Laboratory Technician as needed
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program for chemistry or science
  • Proficient in laboratory, computer, and chemistry skills as expected from a chemistry student
  • Ability to work both sitting and standing
