Job Overview

Position: TIG Welder - Titanium Manufacturing - Swing Shift, Weekend Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform TIG welding on titanium castings within a controlled argon atmosphere.
  • Utilize precision tools, including calipers and profile templates, to ensure accurate repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop rework strategies that adhere to specifications.
  • Employ a grinder for tungsten shaping as required.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of castings from the welding chamber.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Execute other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a vocational training program or relevant TIG welding experience (1-2 years) is preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete a welding assessment within the initial weeks of employment.
  • Must pass an annual vision examination.
  • Physical capability to bend, lift, push, and pull, with or without accommodations.
  • Basic math skills at the high school level are required.
  • Proficient in handling small, intricate tools.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, requiring continuous mental and visual focus.
  • Understanding of measurements and proficient use of measurement tools.
  • A collaborative spirit and self-motivation are essential traits.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • A stable employment history with over one year at a previous employer is preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodations.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check.
  • Readiness to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screenings.
Work Environment:
  • Work is conducted under generally favorable conditions, with some exposure to noise, temperature variations, and machinery.
Work Schedule:
  • Weekend Day Shift (Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm) - $1.25/hr. shift differential
  • Swing Shift (Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:15am) - $1.00/hr. shift differential
  • Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
