Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various industrial applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system requirement engineering for control systems
  • Select and integrate instrumentation & control components
  • Design calculations for control devices and instruments
  • Ensure the functional safety of Safety Instrumented Systems and Safety Related Systems
  • Prepare Design Verification Plan and Report
  • Perform HAZOP and LOPA
  • Develop and implement DFMA for Safety Instrumented Systems and Safety Related Systems
  • Interact with shop floor technicians and manufacturing team to support production build
  • Interact with clients and resolve technical design issues
  • Write Test Request for product validation
  • Work with technicians and vendors to complete product validation

Requirements:

  • Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection, and integration
  • Experience with SIS and SRS
  • Experience with HAZOP and LOPA
  • Self-starter with strong ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of applicable NA I&C/Electrical and Safety standards
  • Knowledge in ATEX / IECEx zoning and protection methods
  • Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE
  • Knowledge in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings
  • Good command of SPI, Conval
  • Experience with intrinsic safety calculations
  • Experience with heat tracing calculations
  • Experience with projects for Hazard Location, especially in North America
  • Proactive person who takes ownership over assigned duties
  • Ability to work in design, selection environments, as well as manufacturing and commissioning
  • Ability to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
