Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Business Operations & Controller, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst is tasked with the creation, management, and support of the college's financial plans and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee the comprehensive budget for the college.
  • Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial statements and facilitate the closing of financial records.
  • Establish and maintain a transparent and inclusive process for the annual operating and capital budgets aligned with the Strategic Plan.
  • Track and report on assessment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of academic and administrative programs.
  • Provide continuous support to Senior Staff, Department Chairs, and budget holders, addressing inquiries and making necessary budget adjustments.
  • Design and maintain a robust institutional budget model encompassing both operating and capital budgets.
  • Deliver financial metrics, budgets, and forecasts to the Financial Performance Committee.
  • Coordinate budget-related initiatives with various departments including Business Office, HR, IT, and Facilities Management.
  • Assist in data collection and reporting for surveys and institutional reports.
  • Monitor and assist with the accounting of restricted projects and gifts.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field and/or CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial management or analysis is essential.

  • Experience in financial administration within higher education or non-profit sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail are required.

  • High-level proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Excel, Word, and database applications.
