Senior Space Systems Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Space Systems Acquisition Specialist to support Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/SZ) portfolio in El Segundo, California.
Duties:
- Perform space acquisitions and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
- Assist with management of the portfolio by providing information, advice, and recommendations for the effective alignment of portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding.
- Assist the Government on planning and coordinating infrastructure projects and requirements.
- Develop policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the acquisition process.
- Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings.
- Advise and assist digital engineering initiatives for acquisition, sustainment, and launch.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with a BA/BS in a related field.
- Experienced in performing acquisition management activities related to contracting, legal, policy, and budget reviews, contracting, finance and compliance in the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development contractor arena.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.
- Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
- MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
