Job Summary

S&B is seeking an experienced Process Engineer III to lead our chemical process design team in Kingsport, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical process design, piping and instrumentation, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed scopes of work for capital projects
  • Design and evaluate overpressure protection systems for new and existing equipment
  • Provide process information and design guidance to other engineering disciplines
  • Participate in process safety reviews
  • Prepare routine technical reports

Requirements

  • Approximately 3-6 years of experience in chemical process design or a related functional area
  • Proficient in developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Capable of performing process calculations of basic to intermediate complexity
  • Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
