The Department of Developmental Services - Porterville Developmental Center is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner - Safety to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessment and case management services to individuals under the direction of the Medical Director.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical assessment and case management services to individuals in accordance with established protocols and in collaboration with a physician or physicians.
- Perform a variety of duties as directed, including but not limited to, conducting health and behavioral assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education and support to individuals and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of California.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a safety-focused role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Nurse Practitioner - Safety will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with clients and other healthcare professionals on a regular basis. The position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
Special Requirements- The position requires a Background Investigation and Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
