Position Overview
This role is part of a structured training program aimed at developing the necessary skills to become an Auto Claims Representative. The training will equip you with the expertise to investigate, assess, negotiate, and resolve claims involving lower-value and less complex losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a comprehensive training program that combines online, virtual, classroom, and hands-on learning.
- Engage in ongoing training sessions focused on the auto claims sector.
- Collaborate with a Unit Manager or mentor to effectively manage assigned claims.
- Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claims process, ensuring clear communication and follow-through.
- Analyze coverage and apply policy conditions for auto damage claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations to gather relevant facts for determining coverage and liability.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves and manage file inventory.
- Negotiate settlements based on appraisal estimates and communicate outcomes to insureds and claimants.
- Support other areas of the Auto Line of Business as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's Degree. Preferred qualifications include:
- Demonstrated customer-centric approach to tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in keyboard skills and Microsoft Windows applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
