About the Role
As an Inventory Management Specialist at Walgreens, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our shelves are stocked and organized, providing a seamless shopping experience for our customers. You'll be responsible for managing inventory across both front-end and pharmacy departments, implementing best practices, and collaborating with team members to maintain accurate stock levels.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Control: Accurately track inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and identify discrepancies. Implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock rotation.
- Receiving & Stocking: Oversee the receiving process for new merchandise, verify quantities against purchase orders, and ensure proper storage according to established procedures.
- Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of products. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to fulfill prescription orders.
- Merchandising & Display: Maintain visually appealing displays, organize shelves, and ensure products are properly labeled and priced. Adhere to company merchandising guidelines.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with store management, team members, and vendors to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Communicate effectively regarding inventory levels, stock needs, and any potential issues.
- Previous retail experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory records.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
