Music Director

Job Title: Music Director
Location: Ladgov Corporation
Duties:
- Collaborate with the pastoral team and other musicians to enhance the music library and repertoire for the Contemporary Gospel Worship Service.
- Exemplify integrity through a moral and upright lifestyle consistent with Christian values.
- Regularly perform on Sundays, showcasing musical expertise.
- Coordinate, organize, and prepare music selections for the choir and congregational music as required to support the service.
- Ensure timely arrival at least 20 minutes before each service or event.
- Assist the CWGS Chaplain in coordinating music for special groups and choirs invited to Chapel-sponsored events and services.
- Support special services directed by the Wing, Deputy Wing, or CWGS Chaplain.
Education & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading music and demonstrated accompaniment skills with the piano, organ/keyboard, or guitar.
- Experience in Contemporary & Gospel choir management and familiarity with worship styles.
- Letter of recommendation from an ordained clergyperson and two additional letters attesting to Christian character.
- At least five years of experience playing the piano, organ/keyboard, or guitar.
- Sound accompaniment skills, competent sight-reading ability, and ability to play music from various genres.
- At least two years of experience directing and playing for church choirs in traditional hymns, gospel, and contemporary Christian music.
- Versatility in performing in front of groups of any size.
- Ability to direct and/or play for worship services, special ceremonies, and funerals as scheduled by Senior Faith Group Chaplains.
